Relax this Christmas
www.privatepersonalchefs.co.uk
We would love to have some feedback and hope it whets your appetites!
Relax this Christmas
Hello everyone! So it's that time of year again, the time for delicious food and treats. One particularly nice thing about Christmas is that most of us have the opportunity to enjoy food that we wouldn't normally choose to eat at any other time of the year.
With Christmas less than six weeks away, why not make the holiday season extra special and hire your own personal chef with Galor to create the ideal Christmas experience. Christmas Eve with Galor is ever the perfect way to allow you to relax and enjoy the company of your friends and family in a totally stress free environment.
Your personal chef will be experienced and able to deliver the best results for your chosen dishes, you won't have to worry about a thing!. For those of you who are far away from home, worry not. We fully cater to your needs, even if that means following one of mum's special recipes, for you, we'll do it.
The Perfect Christmas spuds:
Fluffy on the inside, golden brown on the outside. The secret is two cooking methods. Cook the potatoes in water first and then oil. The type of potato is important, you need a floury potato, but you have to cook them for as long as you possibly can without them completely disintegrating. They need to really start breaking up, so the outside's almost pureed. And then, really delicately, lift them out of the water... be careful, if you just tip the pan out they'll start pureeing because they're so soft.
Then get your oil, and make sure you've got enough - a lot of people don't put enough oil in the pan. Baste them first so they're covered in the oil, then place them in a really hot oven and keep turning them until crusty and golden brown on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There you go the Perfect Christmas spuds.

The Italian Cuisine
The Italian Cuisine Galor personal chef service
The Italian Cuisine www.privatepersonalchefs.co.uk / www.galor.co.uk
The Italian Cuisine is made up of a vast mix of different elements from the various regions of Italy. The food in the South is considered to be more spicy, with its main ingredients of tomatoes, seafood and olive oil.
The cooking in the north is mainly based on meat with heavier cream and parmesan based sauces.
In galor one of our specialities is Italian Cuisine. Below are some of the Italian dishes we recommend;
Carpachio of beef fillet – seared beef with horseradish gremolata & toasted walnuts.
Grilled pink tuna steak – pink tuna fillet with polenta accompanied by a salsa of lemon conserve, kalamata, concasse tomatoes & marjum.
Green spaghetti – leeks, zucchini, green beans, spinach, feta & olive oil.
Lasagna – our special Mediterranean recipe.
Top Tip – How to cook the perfect pasta
The sauce is always waiting for the pasta. To open the sauce you can use a little of the pasta water.
-5 liters of water and 2 spoons of rock salt for 500g pasta.
-put the salt after the first boil and wait again for another boil.
-put the pasta in at one time and mix to prevent the pasta from sticking. The cooking time for the pasta is when it starts to be white and you can easily bite it, the pasta should remain solid, al dente” this means “to the tooth” or to the bite”.
Follow these few tips and you will certainly have the perfectly cooked pasta.galor

Dining at home with Galor Personal Chef Service
Dining at home with Galor Personal Chef Service
www.galor.co.uk
imagine you want to take your friends and family out for dinner at a Michelin star restaurant. How much would that cost? Probably allot! Galor Personal Chef is your new alternative, you can hire a personal chef and professional staff to provide an amazing gourmet experience in the comfort of your own home. Your chef will create the menu, do the shopping, deliver and once he’s done the left-over's are in your freezer and your kitchen is left spotless.
Advantages of hiring a personal chef:
1. You’re providing the wine and drinks, so saving a small fortune there alone as mark-ups on alcohol in top restaurants are notoriously high.
2. You have the pleasure and security of entertaining in your own home so; no baby sitting needed and no traffic and parking problems.
3. You can enjoy a few drinks and don't have to worry about who is going to drive home, no second sittings, no snotty Maitre D and no annoying people at the next table!.
We only charge for the chef / waiting services, everything else you pay at supplier cost. This is a cost effective way of entertaining without sacrificing quality and elegance.
You can hire a personal chef on an ad-hoc basis so everyone can have a taste of what it is to have a real chef in the house. Not everyone can afford to retain a private chef on a full-time basis and we understand this completely.
Our personal chefs at Galor will learn your special culinary requirements and design a menu for you (weekly meal planning prepared in just one day is another option) these meals are then packaged, labeled and stored with specific heating instructions for you to enjoy later.
Dining at home is becoming more and more popular and hiring a private chef to prepare the meal makes sound sense.
Tips for a great dinner party
1. Know your guests: find out about their likes and dislikes, making sure everyone feels comfortable with the food. This alone can avoided major complications.
2. Buffet: If you're having a large party, then a buffet might work best. It means you don't have to worry about timing as much as with sit down dinners and buffets are great for picky eaters, everyone can create a bespoke plate, and choose for themselves.
3. Having the right selection of drinks on offer is essential.
4. Think about buying good-quality tableware.
Lastly, but equally as important, remember to enjoy the evening and just let us take care of the rest.
